Michael Ridley is a librarian at the University of Guelph (Guelph, Ontario, Canada). Until January 2012 he was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Librarian, a position he held for 16 years. Over the past 6 years he has been speaking, writing, and teaching about issues related to literacy and the idea of post-literacy. The Editorial Team for Beyond Literacy is comprised of the students in the iSchool, University of Toronto course INF2301H Special Topics in Information: Beyond Literacy. These students are the co-authors and co-curators of the project.
